Description
STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENTfor Implant Management System The Veterans Administration Medical Center in Kansas City, MO needs to identify suppliers of the SafeNet Perpetual License or equal, as well as installation and training on the software, and system support. The system should have a PC-based software program that operates on our VISTA network. The program would use barcode technology to automate documentation, ensure accuracy and improve efficiency. The system should include the following options: "Collect receipt details, including the implant's expiration date, lot number, serial number, date and time of receipt, and package integrity. For autografts, it should collect important harvest information. "Record the stock history of each item and enable staff to locate implants quickly. To help ensure implants are maintained in proper storage conditions, the program should alert responsible staff if a required temperature reading is not recorded. "Clearly display preparation instructions and guide user to prepare the implant accurately. "It should capture important information about the procedure, including the date of implant, type of procedure and surgeon's name. "It must allow the department to track any biological implant from the initial ordering and receipt, to the usage of by a particular patient. If any vendor believes its product will meet our requirements, they should respond to this notice, providing their product information and pricing to the address indicated. This is not an actual solicitation but is being used to gather market information about the availability of equivalent products.
