- TYPE: Pre-Solicitation Notice SYNOPSIS TITLE: Exhibit Fabrication and Installation Services SYNOPSIS FILE: NAMA-09-Q-0029 POC: Damon Nevils RESPONSE DUE DATE: January 21, 2009 The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Exhibit F abrication and Installation Services. This is a 100% small business set aside in accordance with FAR Part 19.5, Set Asides for Small Businesses. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 337215 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. All Small, Central Contractor Registration (CCR) registered contractors capable of providing the required services are invited to submit a written firm fixed price quotation for the services specified. Work consists of furnishing equipment, personnel, supplies, materials and supervision, to provide exhibit fabrication and installation services for the National Archives and Records Administration's ( NARA ) Public Vaults Exhibit (Multiple Exhibits), located in Atlanta and Kansas City. These exhibits will display priceless, irreplaceable documentary materials including historically valuable textual documents; original photographic prints; original drawings, paintings, and valuable objects from the holdings of the National Archives. The National Archives also exhibits a significant number of graphics, facsimiles, and reproductions as part of its ongoing exhibits. Expert care of all historical objects is a primary concern of the Government. As a result, materials must meet the highest standards, quality and craftsmanship. The Contractor will also be required to observe special handling requirements for all materials displayed in the exhibits. Tasks include fabrication of exhibit cases and structures, Audio/Visual set-up, and delivery and installation of exhibit final production. Copies of the RFQ, which will be available on or about January 05,2009, may be obtained through the Federal Business Opportunities web site at www.fedbizopps.gov. It is the Offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments, if any. All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on the EPS are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those Contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFQ through their e-mail addresses. No telephone or fax RFQ request will be accepted.
