- Description
- The NASA/SSC Office of Procurement intends to issue a Best Value Request forProposal (RFP) for the procurement of 1 each 96 Inch High Pressure Industrial WaterRubber Seated Butterfly Valve for delivery to John C. Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. The work to be performed under this requirement consists of providing all labor,equipment, and materials necessary for the design, fabrication, inspection, testing, anddelivery of the 96 Inch, 300 psig water rubber seated butterfly valve, ASTM A395 or ASTMA536 ductile iron (or an approved equal). The valves shall comply with codes referencedin the RFP and shall be suitable for both the flow and holding of water as described inthe RFP. FOB is destination. This requirement will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside Commercial SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures (SAP) in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. It is anticipatedthat only one award will be made for this requirement, and any resulting award shall bemade in the form of a single award firm fixed price (FFP) contract. The estimated periodof performance or lead-time for delivery is 9 months from the effective date of contractaward.The firm delivery date shall be identified in the RFP.The Government reserves the exclusive right to award to other than the low offeror onthis "Best Value" procurement.The anticipated issue date of subject RFP is on or about January 13, 2009 with ananticipated closing date of February 16, 2009.All contractual and technical questionsmust be submitted in writing on or about January 23, 2009, to carol.l.west@nasa.gov or byfax 228-688-3529. Telephone questions will not be accepted. The firm date for receipt of written questions and proposal due date will be stated inthe subsequent RFP. The RFP and any related documents will only be issued electronically and will beavailable via the internet. These documents may be accessed and downloaded at the NASAAcquisition Internet Service (NAIS) Business Opportunities website @http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/nais/link_syp.cgi or at the Federal BusinessOpportunities (FedBizOpps) website @ http://www.fbo.gov. Offerors unable to access theRFP at this address may contact the Contracting Office for assistance.*** Prospective offerors shall notify this office, in writing, via e-mail tocarol.l.west@nasa.gov of their intent to submit an offer.
