- Description
- 1.Scope of Work A. It is the intent of this contract to secure cleaning, weekly pickup of soiled uniforms, pressing, alterations, delivery of clean uniforms. This contract will serve the GSA White House Center. B. This contract will be entered into for a term of one year with four one year option periods. If performance under the contract is acceptable to the Government, the Government will have the unilateral right to exercise the option periods. The contract will involve approximately 150 employees and 1500 garments including pants, shirts, smocks, and coveralls for the durations of the contract including options. All quantities are estimates only. The contract shall include the following in their proposal: (1) a. The Operating Plan will describe the schedule (day and time) for pickup of soiled uniforms and drop off of clean uniforms at the designated location. Pickup locations can be visited Monday through Friday (excluding Federal Holidays). 6:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. b. The Operating Plan will also provide information on: (i) How soiled uniforms should be packaged for return to the contractor (ii) How clean uniforms will be packaged when returned to the employee. (iii) Length of time the contractor will need to respond to requests for alterations, size changes, replacement of worn garments, etc. (iv) Method for identifying needed alterations, size changes, garment replacement, etc (v) Method utilized must be located on the inside of the garment. (2) Record Keeping Plan a. The Recording Keeping plan will address the development and maintenance of a log identifying uniform deliveries, pickups, and service performed under this contract. A copy of the log to be utilized will be include but are not limited to the following: b. The Recording Keeping plan will ensure the correct accounting of all uniforms and services provided. The contractor will submit with its proposal copies of all forms to be utilized for tracking purposes. The forms will include but are not limited to the following : (i) number of uniforms picked up/dropped off per visit (ii) number of size changes requested/ made (iii) number of alterations requested/performed (iv) number of worn uniforms replaced (v) number of new employers issued uniforms (3 ) Past Performance documents are required. The contractor shall supply past performance documents for a minimum of three contacts to include the name, address and phone of point of contact, Contract number, value, and brief description of work.
