- Subject: Repair and Maintenance of Communication Systems Equipment at Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona. The National Park Service, Grand Canyon National Park has a requirement for repair and maintenance of its communications systems in the Park. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, inspection, and incidental material to inspect, adjust, maintain, and repair communication system. Equipment covered under this contract is all communications equipment installed in vehicles and related equipment, such as towers, repeaters, voter receivers. Contractor will provide a minimum of weekly service visits to the Park to service equipment, program software, provide PM, repairs, and other requirements in accordance with the Performance Work Statement. Technicians must be certified and authorized to provide warranty, installation, and repair services for Motorola two-way, paging, and related products. This requirement will be an evaluation factor at the time of award and contractors unable to provide such certified technicians will be ineligible for award. Contractor must be registered in Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for award. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price contract with a base period of twelve (12) months and will include four (4) option periods of 12 months each. Various evaluation factors will be used to include overall prices. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the base requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the options. Solicitation is being issued as a total small business set-aside, NAICS 811213, size standard $7.0 million. Solicitation N8219090005 is anticipated to be released on or about January 20, 2009. Solicitation closing date will be Friday, February 20, 2009 at 3 PM M.S.T. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to visit the FEDBIZOPPS website periodically, download solicitation information, and to check for amendments. Hard copies of solicitation documents will not be provided. The Government will conduct a site visit on February 5, 2009 at 1:00 PM M.S.T. The duration will be approximately 2 hours. Interested parties shall meet at the Grand Canyon National Park Service Headquarters building at 1:00 PM on February 5, 2009. Those planning to attend must notify elizabeth_baierl@nps.gov of the names of the attendees, not to exceed two employees per company. Notification must be done within 48 hours of site tour to ensure access. Individual tours will not be conducted or permitted. Security information and directions will be provided at the time of notification of attendance.
