- Description
- The U.S. Agency for International Development intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from eligible and qualified firms and organizations for a multiple award Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for implementation of Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) programs as part of the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI). The purpose of this multi-award IQC is to support PMI, as well as USAID Missions and Bureaus with malaria programs outside of PMI countries, in planning and implementing IRS programs with the overall goal of reducing the burden of malaria in Africa. USAID anticipates awarding up to three contracts under this IQC to be available to compete for task orders issued by USAID missions and Bureaus to implement IRS programs on the ground. The successful awardees will be able to provide cost-effective support for all aspects of IRS implementation in countries affected by malaria, including commodities procurement and delivery, access to technical expertise, environmental assessments, and planning and management of IRS programs. This is a full and open competition and the procedures set forth in FAR Part 15 shall apply. The authorized geographic code for this activity is 935. The RFP is expected to be released to the public o/a January 30th, 2008 and will be distributed through this website. Any amendments to this pre-solicitation will also be issued and posted only on this website. Issuance of this notice does not constitute an award commitment on the part of the U.S. Government, nor does it commit the U.S. Government to pay for any costs incurred in the preparation or submission of comments, suggestions, or a proposal. Furthermore, the Government reserves the right to defer issuance of a RFP solicitation or not to issue a RFP, if such action is considered to be in the best interest of the Government.
