Description

The Uniformed Services University (USU) located on the National Naval Medical Campus (NNMC) in Bethesda, MD has a requirement for the installation of five (5) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant automatic door operators; contractor will provide all labor, approved materials, tools, mobilization, transportation, supervision and equipment. The door operators will be installed in Building E vestibule, and parking level E entrance. The performance period is within 30 days. This is a competitive procurement and is set-aside for small businesses located within the geographical area of the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The estimated price of this requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS code is 236220 ( Commercial and Institutional Building Construction ) and size standard is $33.5M. Attached are copies of the SF 1442 (solicitation) and the Davis Bacon Wage Determination. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to check FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov, for any amendments to the solicitation. All quotes are due on January 30, 2009 at 4:30 pm. Anticipated award date is February 3, 2008. Quotes may be e-mailed to kshelton@usuhs.mil or faxed to 301-295-1716. Attn: Auto Door Operators. Site Visit A scheduled site visit will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Uniformed Services University, Building A, Room 1040C. Attendees should allow adequate time to gain access onto the Government facility. Because of the heightened security measures, NNMC is requiring everyone entering the base to have a government issued ID card, military ID, ID card issued by a Federal government activity/agency, and a valid driver's license. Those who are not employed by the federal government, and as a result do not have official government identification, will be required to be placed on the access list. In order to be placed on the access list you will have to provide the name of the attendees, company name, and a phone number. All requests must be received by Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at noon to be assured access on the base.
