Description
The Project consists of designing and constructing a Training Suport Center and all Site Improvements necessary to support the new building Facility at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The Training Support Center is a building that is used to fabricate, maintain, store, and issue training devices including Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES). Multi-purpose classrooms/simulation rooms are also provided in this facility. It also provides the administrative space for the training support division management staff. The facility includes primarily warehouse space for storage, issue and maintenance of training devices and components. The facility includes warehousing space, shipping/receiving areas, device fabrication (woodworking and plastics), general item repair, general purpose administrative space, sensitive item storage (arms vaults), multi purpose classrooms/work centers, break areas, and latrines. The Admin/Classroom Area=22,673 GSF, Building Support (MEP Rooms)= 3,000 GSF,and Warehouse/Shops=48,800 GSF. The Total Requirement =74,473 GSF. Approximate Site Area is 7.5 acres. This is a Request for Proposal that will be evaluated on Design Technical, Performance Capability and Price. Sub-Factors will be listed in the solicitation. Pro Forma Information such as Financial Ability and Bonding Capability will also be required. Proposals received from this solicitation will be evaluated for best value and will not necessarily be awarded to the lowest price. The solicitation will be available on or before 26 January 2009 by web only. The proposal due date is approximately 26 February 2009 at 1:00 p.m. local time.
