- Notes from Initial Walk ThroughCorrect Electrical Deficiencies December 30, 2008 On Tuesday, 30th December we met in room BR-145 Engineering to discuss the Correct Electrical Deficiencies Project 618-07-303ES. We discussed the scope of the project and paged through the drawings. Engineering clarified the change entitled Add Alternate #1. The EDP-CENT2 should be physically connected to EDP-CENT gear and an extension of the bus. It is not to be a separate gear that is fed off of EDP-CENT. The pad is extend and gear added to match existing. The reason for the change is that EDP-CENT will not accept an 800A breaker. In addition, as part of Add Alternate #1 the government changed the three branch circuits run to 3K to the running of a feeder panel. We traveled to the generator room to look at the existing switch gear. This is for Add Alternate #2. In the space, there is also a shaft to the sub basement that would accommodate at the most a 40"x40" piece of equipment lowered to the sub basement. Second, BT-103 and to sub #2 in 1Q-118. Third, BD-101B and F and discussed drawing 1168-E16 of bldg 70. Fourth, sub 10 and the room below. Fifth, Building 9, rooms 13 and 14 including the current electric room setup and the future room setup. Sixth, Building 10 the transformer. We discussed that the change out of the transformer would require night work and would probably take down both building 9 & 10. Also, to include the removal of the old pad and installation of a new pad. Seventh, basement of bldg 10; route to run the 4"emt. Eighth, showed where building 47 is located and offered to go for a look with no takers. It's a simple 2x4 light retro to T-8's and electronic ballasts. The government has since verified that the power to that building is 120/208. Ninth, panels in building 68; both 1st and 2nd floor. Both spaces to be worked at night. End of the walk through with no more questions at that time.
