Description
The U.S. Geological Survey, National Water Quality Laboratory has a requirement for 40mL, amber glass, vial, 72 vials per case, with dust caps and packaging foam inserts, with an estimated quantity of 400 cases per year and also a requirement for 1 liter, Baked, amber, glass bottles, Boston Round, 12 bottles per case with estimated quantities of 1400 cases per year. The requirement for the 40 mL, amber glass vial with dust cap and packaging foam insert must meet EPA standards for volatiles, case/72. A "Certificate of Analysis" must be provided. The requirements for the 1 Liter, Baked, amber, glass bottle, Boston Round, "easy pour finish" neck 33-430, Polypropylene (PP) cap with Teflon liner, case/12. Bottles must be pre-cleaned (clean water rinse) then baked in a hi-temp muffle oven at 450 degree Celsius for no less than 2.0 hours soak time at 450 degree Celsius. A "Certificate of Process" and a "Certificate of Compliance" by the manufacture along with a "Profile burn chart" must be provided with each lot of bottles baked. Final product acceptance must pass the NWQL quality assessment for cleaning. The supplies described herein are considered to be a commercial item. The contract will be issued for a base year plus four-one year options. NAICS Code is 327215. Small disadvantaged and women-owned businesses are encouraged to respond to this requirement. The requirement is not set-aside for small business. The solicitation for this procurement will be available on or about January 26, 2009 at the following website http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
