- Description
- The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified contractors for the renovation and postalization of an existing building to be known as the Townsend Carrier Annex which is located in San Francisco CA. The project involves expansion of an existing building and includes addition of loading docks, site improvements consisting of paving, grading, fencing, and demolition of a small structure on the site. The building is approximately 24,400 square feet and is unoccupied. The project is to be completed in 330 days after notice to proceed. Estimated range is $5,000,000-$6,500,000. This is an owned facility. The proposal must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal is 11%; the women-owned business subcontracting goal is 6.9%; the small business subcontracting goal is 25%. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. A pre-proposal conference will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on January 23, 2009 at the site.
