- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to identify firms capable of providing operations and maintenance (O&M) services for Comprehensive Tactical Infrastructure Maintenance and Repair (CTIMR) along the Southwest Border of the United States. Tactical Infrastructure (TI) assets are defined as, but not necessarily limited to, fence/gates, roads/bridges, drainage/grate systems, and lighting/electrical systems. Vegetation control and debris removal will also be key aspects of the Government’s requirements. A draft Work Statement has been posted with this notice to provide further detail. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990 – “Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction” – with a Small Business Size Standard of $33.5M. Vendors interested in performing this requirement are invited to provide the information listed below to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Secure Border Initiative (SBI) Acquisition Office no later than Monday, February 2, 2009. The information should be submitted via email to CTIMR@cbp.dhs.gov. Responses shall include the following information: (1) company name; (2) address; (3) point of contact name; (4) email address and fax number; (5) business size (small/large); (6) Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) / 8(a) / Veteran-owned / Service-disabled veteran-owned / Minority-owned / Woman-owned / or other socioeconomic status; and (7) evidence that the interested vendor has performed similar O&M services to real property (such as that which has been defined above as “TI assets” – although exact matches are not a prerequisite) in the past five years. Interested vendors are also encouraged to attend a series of “Industry Day” events, designed for the Government to discuss and answer questions about its requirement in an open forum. Interested vendors must RSVP at least two business days in advance of each event, by emailing the organization name and the full names of participants (no more than five per organization) to CTIMR@cbp.dhs.gov. Security requirements at each event dictate that participants must provide at least two forms of government-issued identification (e.g. drivers license, passport, Social Security card, etc.) in order to gain access.
