- Description
- The VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky, 40206 has a construction requirement for Project No. 603-09-201, Replace Main 208 Volt Breakers. Contractor will be required to provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete the project in accordance with specifications and drawings of VA-249-09-IB-0054. Work includes but is not limited to replacement of multiple electrical draw-out circuit breakers in existing 208/120 volt substation, proper disposal of materials removed, provision of electrical system protective device study and certain other general/electrical construction work. Complete all work in accordance with phasing requirements and within 150 calendar days after issued notice to proceed. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 238210 with a small business size standard of $14 million. The estimated cost range for this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOB) CONTRACTORS. The SDVOB must be small under relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: www.vip.vetbiz.gov www.ccr.gov https://orca.bpn.gov and https://vets100.vets.dol.gov/ to be eligible for award. Bidders must ensure their registrations are updated, correct, and have not expired. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the solicitation. Bond information: A 20% Bid bond must be submitted with bid. The awardee shall be required to provide both a performance bond and a payment bond in 100% of the award amount. This solicitation will be posted on or about January 15, 2009 at the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps) website www.fedbizopps.gov Paper solicitations will not be issued, contractors must obtain solicitation, drawings, and amendments (if issued) from this website. Amendments will not be mailed but will also be posted at the Fedbizopps website. Bidders are reminded they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to the solicitation prior to the time for bid opening. Bids are due no later than 2pm CT on 2-19-2009 in Building 5, First Floor, Room 154, Acquisition Service Center VISN 9 (90C), Alvin C. York VA Campus, 3400 Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129. NOTE: Bids should not be sent to the VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky as the bids will be opened at the VISN 9 Acquisition Service Center, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Award is subject to the availability of funds.CONTRACTORS MUST SUBMIT ALL JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENTS WITH THEIR BID. CONTRACTORS BIDDING UNDER THE NAME OF THEIR JOINT VENTURE ARE REMINDED THEY ARE RESTRICTED TO THE NUMBER OF BIDS THEY CAN SUBMIT IN THE NAME OF THEIR JOINT VENTURE.
