Description

THIS IS OPEN AS AN IFB, INVITATION FOR BID. The 184th Intelligence Wing, McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary for Project PRQE 992241, Repair Munitions Shop Building 1375. Project is located at McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kansas, and shall be constructed in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Magnitude of this project is approximately between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Completion time is anticipated to take approximately 330 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. There will be an on-site Pre-Bid meeting, for all interested contractors and subcontractors, on 5 Feb 2009 at 9:00AM at Building 3, 53260 Jayhawk Drive, Kansas Air National Guard, McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas. Bids will be accepted until 10 Mar 2009, 2:00PM, CST. This project involves the remodel/repair of approximately 32,336 SF Building 1375. Install a new over-framed standing seam metal roof. Remodel work includes exterior and interior remodel of existing spaces, hoist system, doors, cable trays, piping, fire protection, electrical lighting, and electrical power systems. The current HVAC controls are pneumatic and shall be updated to DDC to conform to the rest of the base's configuration. Site improvements are also included.
