- THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS ONLY. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order for the dry dock and repair of the NOAA PETER GLADDING R-5701 vessel. The GLADDING is home ported in the Florida Keys Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS). Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform the following (including, but not limited to): BASE ITEMS - Dry docking and Routine Dry docking Work, Install Lobster Pot Hauler, Inspect Ceramic Coating System, Replace Anodes, Reconfigure Transom, Insulation, install, forward Pilot House and forward Berthing, Accomplish Underbody Coating System, Bow deck and Pilot House weather deck non-skid coating system. OPTION ITEM - Repair Socket Stations. All work shall be performed at the vendors site. The performance period is 28 calendar days, with an anticipated start date of February 1, 2009 and completion date of February 28, 2009. Anticipated award date is January 29, 2009. Site/inspection period is set for January 19-23, 2009. Arrangements to attend site visits shall be coordinated with Joe Scarpa (305) 684-8701. This procurement is being issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with FAR 52.219-6. The NAICS code is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The simplified acquisition will be issued based on price and price related factors (cost to transit), and past performance. The contractor must have USCG or ABS certified welders and provide proof of certification with their offer. The contractor must be able to haul out and store the vessel at no additional cost to the government throughout the contract execution. Quotes may be submitted via e-mail to Linda Mullen. The RFQ will be issued via electronic posting at Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) web page www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor FEDBISOPS for the release of the RFQ, specification, and all subsequent amendments. The specification will be uploaded via www.eps.gov with the RFQ. Vendors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov and obtain (and provide with their quote) a DUNS number.
