Description
RFQ SPM1C1-09-Q-0108 is for the purchase of the following item: 8,000 each of mask extreme cold weather. Item description: mask, extreme cold weather, dry and wet cold additional information for MIL-M-24913. Previous History: last brought in December of 1988, for 34,260 each. RFQ will be issued as a small business set-aside. Availability of solicitation, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitation in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after 30 January 2009 (this is an estimated date). From the Gateway home page, select “Search RFQs” from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Gateway technical assistance is available at admin_support@pgmail.daps.mil. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as “Berry Amendment”) impose restrictions on the DoD’s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and “specialty metals” (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
