- FSC: Q301 The Minneapolis VA Medical Center has a requirement for a contractor to provide environmental microbiology testing services for the VAMC Pharmacy IV Compounding Rooms. Services shall be provided in accordance with United States Pharmacopeia Chapter 797 regulatory guidelines for Pharmaceutical Compounding Sterile Preparations for intravenous patient use. Contractor shall provide all microbiology media kits, sample identifier labels, test order forms, and all labor, equipment and supplies necessary to perform the required testing for Airborne Particle testing, Surface Sample Testing and Gloved fingertip sampling. Contractor will be required to provide media sample kits to VAMC, and all packaging for shipping media samples to contractor to include shipping or courier services from VAMC to contractor's laboratory. It is anticipated that a base year with four 12-month options to renew will be awarded. Total contract period shall not exceed 60 months. This procurement is being conducted as full and open competition under Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 621511 and the small business size standard is $12.5 Million per year, averaged over 3 years. The FSC Code that applies is Q301 for Medical Laboratory Services. Solicitation documents will be available on this website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about January 21, 2009. Responses to the solicitation will be due by 3:30PM CST on February 5, 2009.
