Description
The US Army, ACC Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center, ManeuverAmmo Center on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (OPM-MAS), is seeking interested and qualified sources to provide transportation services for thirty seven (37) each 40mm Gun Barrels from Athens, Greece to Florida, USA (Floor to Door). Additional description is as follows: Commodity: 37 each 40mm Gun Barrels, 296 lbs each, packed in wooden crates.Packing: 37 each wooden crates per 40 ft marine container.Origin: Hellenic Army Supply Depot, Kapota Base, Menidi, AthensDestination: Military destination in USA to be determined Draft SOW: Contractor shall receive the Gun Barrels on the floor of the Hellenic Army warehouse and provide labor and equipment to pack and load a 40-foot marine container provided by contractor. Contractor shall meet US Customs Wood Packaging Materiel (WPM) regulation, to the extent to provide phytosanitary treated wood for crating and packing. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and security clearances from the Hellenic Ministry of Defense, Hellenic Ministry of Public Order, and Hellenic Ministry of Finance for entering into Hellenic Army installations. Contractor shall be responsible for the inland transportation and all necessary security clearances from the origin to the Port of Piraeus. Due to the sensitivity of the cargo, a transportation plan is required to be submitted by the contractor for review and approval by the Greek Government authorities and US Government.Contractor shall be responsible for all custom formalities and security storage arrangements for the containers at the Port of Piraeus while awaiting exportation. Contractor shall inventory each barrel by serial number; prepare a detailed list and shipping manifest, both in hard copy and electronic format. The offer must be all-inclusive, from warehouse floor military base in Athens, Greece to Florida, USA, with no demurrages, no dispatches, and no detentions. All responsible interested sources are encouraged to submit theircapabilities/qualification data. Please include company name, address, telephone number, email address, technical point of contact, Cage Code, DUNS number, Company Size (please specify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone concern, Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled SmallBusiness), brochures/literature. Any responsible/interested sources shall submit the above information within 5 days of this notice.
