- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), INVITATION FOR BID (IFB), REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ), REQUEST FOR APPLICATION OF A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT ASSUME THE GOVERNMENT WILL AWARD A CONTRACT OR PROCEED WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE SOLICITATIONS IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THIS NOTICE IS ONLY FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced purchase order to Anderson-Benson Consulting Services this is a special notice to determine the availability of potential vendors that can provide the necessary technical data for the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotions "The Health Aging Program." The core tasks and minimum contractor requirements will include: 1) Provide technical assistance and consultation to the Healthy Aging Program Director and DACH/OD's Policy and Legislative section in developing projects and activities regarding older adult health with the Council of State Governments (CSG) and other similar entities through the NCCDPHP cooperative agreement. 2) Provide technical assistance and consultation to the Alzheimer's/Cognitive Health segment of the Healthy Aging Program. 3) Provide technical assistance and consultation to the HAP Director on health and aging policy related to broadening the use of preventive services among older adults, with a particular focus on linking with the aging services networks. 4) Provide technical assistance and consultation during the development and execution of an assessment of state-based healthy aging activities. 5) Assist in the development and facilitation of a strategic plan to strengthen collaborations with the Indian Health Service (IHS) and other organizations with an American Indian focus consistent with the mission of the HAP. 6) Provide technical assistance and consultation to the Healthy Aging Program Director and staff pertaining to the development and implementation of collaborative initiatives concerning care giving among older adults. 7) Provide technical assistance and consultation to the Healthy Aging Program Director and staff to strengthen other key initiatives undertaken as part of HAP's agenda and mission. The proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR PART 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This award will be made below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold ($100,000).This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
