Description
NSN 6650-01-063-0035, PN 11584701, M3 Borescope and 1240-01-097-4870, PN 11584705, M3 Borescope Case. End use: miscellaneous artillery. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. First article testing will be required for both items. Any award resulting from this solicitation will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract with four pricing periods. The only guaranteed quantity is 29 each of the Case. There is no guaranteed minimum quantity for the Borescope. The maximum quantities over the life of the contract are 250 of each item. The Borescope (PN 11584701) is used to visually inspect cannon bores of Howitzers, tanks, recoilless rifles up to 8 inch diameter and permit inspections up to 26 feet in length. The three extension tubes are made from aluminum alloy 6061-T6. The Borescope consists of an eyepiece assy, adapter tube assy, support assy, objective tube assy, illuminating head assy and electrical power cables. Two of the tubes contain erector optic lens. There is extensive tooling for this part. The Case (PN 11584705) is manufactured from molding grade polyethylene, fiberglass, or ABS MIL-C-4150H, type I, style 4, class A. Assembly includes: 3 bail handles, 7 strikers, 7 catches, 2 snapslide studs, 2 snapside fasteners, gasket (10.5 ft long), 5 hinges, foam cushion inserts. Overall length is 46.96 in.; overall width is 13.90 in.; overall height is 9.63 in. FOB is destination. Estimated issue date is 2 Feb 2009. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
