- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office - SCRO, Grand Prairie, Texas, plans to issue solicitation IFB-TEX-0002 to construct/install a new wet pipe automatic fire sprinkler system consisting of approximately 150,000 square feet of coverage. The project consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the complete construction of the work located at the Federal Correctional Institution, Texarkana, Texas. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be available on or about February 19, 2009 with an anticipated bid opening date of approximately March 24, 2009. The solicitation will be distributed soley through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website http//www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments will also be distributed soley through this site. Faith Based and Community Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
