Description
The Facilities & Services Branch (FSB) of the Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) is issuing a Request For Information (RFI) on the subject of targetry upgrade. Specifically, the Government seeks to accomplish the following: •Replace an existing Action Target target system in three indoor firing ranges, including all infrastructure necessary to provide a turn-key system •Each of the three existing target systems that will be replaced are comprised of the following components; otwenty-five (25) pneumatically operated, electronically controlled, computer programmed, overhead mount, 90-degree turning targets of our (4) 120VAC operated, simple switchbox controlled, track-runner style targets •The twenty-five 90-degree turning targets will be replaced with twenty five 180-degree turning targets offering the ability to show either side of a cardboard target to the shooter from an edged position. •The four track-runner style targets will be replaced with a newer track runner target design offering the ability to be integrated into the existing computer programmed, electronically operated target system. •There are approximately sixteen (16) bobber-style targets with hit sensors that are currently in use and must remain compatible after the target system upgrade. •Installation of various plumbing and mechanical components, as required (including pneumatics) •Installation of electrical components (both line voltage and low voltage) as required •Installation of structural components and hardware as required. •Installation of concrete components as required •Reinforcement/upgrade of any existing structures or systems, including electrical, as required to support the new target systems as required. •Patching and painting of any surfaces that are disturbed during the installation process, as required. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), and is not to be construed as a commitment by the US Government. The Government implies no intention or opportunity to acquire funding to support current or future development efforts. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this survey or results of any information submitted. Respondents may not be notified of the results of this survey or results of information submitted. A site visit will be held at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City on 05 February 2009, 2:00 PM, EST with all parties meeting at the Security Operations Center Main Gate. Security issues require companies to identify personnel whom will be attending the site visit.
