Description
This notice is issued by the NASA/KSC to post a Request for Interest via theinternet, and solicit responses from interested parties. This document is forinformation and planning purposes and to allow industry the opportunity to verifyreasonableness and feasibility of the requirement, as well as promote competition. Prospective offerors are invited to submit written comments or questions to: Point ofContact: Thomas C. Pino, Contracting Officer, Mail Code: OP-OS-V, Kennedy Space Center,FL 32899, E-mail: Chris.Pino-1@nasa.gov, no later than February 24, 2009. Whenresponding reference KSC Visitor Complex. Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is in the initial planning phase for solicitation of proposalsfor operation and future development of the KSC Visitor Complex (KSCVC). The KSCVC isoperated and maintained as a concession business activity. The current concessionagreement ends April 30, 2010.KSC is seeking industry ideas, concepts, and comments foroptimizing KSCVC mission objectives, operations, development, and long-term vitality forboth NASA and the Concessioner. Comments are solicited regarding KSCs vision,constraints, and conditions regarding the KSCVC concession. See the attached RFI fordetailed information. Please check this RFI periodically for updates.This presolicitation synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government,nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response.Respondents willnot be notified of the results.An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/KSCBusiness Opportunities home page ishttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=76 It is the offeror'sresponsibility to monitor the Internet cite for the release of the solicitation andamendments (if any).
