Description
This is combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is 898506 and solicitation is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-30. The National Institute of Drug Abuse on behalf of the National Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) has a requirement for Meeting space, lodging and meals for the NINDS Principal Investigators, Post-doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students on May 20-22, 2009. The meetings will consist of an intense one and one-half day program. Opportunities will be provided for informal interaction to encourage creative thinking and exchange of ideas among attendees. Requirements: DATES: May 20-22, 2009 Start Time: May 20 at 6:00 pm End Time: May 22 at 1:00 pm LOCATION: More than 45 minutes but less than 90 minutes drive from NIH, Bethesda, Maryland campus to afford a remote retreat setting away from work distractions, yet within a reasonable commute. TYPE OF FACILITY: Space must include a general session conference room with a dining room and other common areas for informal interactions in a self-contained building, and must be of a size and configuration to create an overall informal, atmosphere. Three break-out rooms to seat up to 30-35 each, conference style. Dining must accommodate group seating for all meals. Meals must be in a dining room setting and may be served by buffet, but not cafeteria style. Meals must include a variety of health-conscious meals, including vegetarian options. LODGING: Single occupancy for 60 attendees and Double occupancy for 70 attendees to include lodging, breakfast/lunch/dinner, continuous breaks, and conference room. All guest rooms must include a private bath and data port. Total 60 Single and 70 Double Complete Meeting Packages MEETING ROOMS: May 20-22 General Session: Conference Room to accommodate 130 attendees classroom style. The quotations will be evaluated by the following criteria: 1.Past Performance 15 points: Three (3) similar functions in the past 5 years 2.Adequacy of Facility 50 points: Conference facilities, lodging, dining, location/setting 3.Date/Time 35 points: May 20 (6:00 pm)-May 22 (1:00 pm), 2009 Price will be evaluated on best value. FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items. Offerors must include with their offer a completed copy of provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. Quotations in response to this notice must be received by February 5, 2009 no later then 3:00 pm Washington D.C. time.
