Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to procure a Motivation patented "Navigantry" steerable crane with wire rope hoist and trolley on a sole-source, firm fixed price basis from Motivation, Inc, 34 Bysham Park Dr. Woodstock Ontario N4T-1R2. Procurement requirement includes: Motivation "Navigantry" Steerable Gantry Crane, Part#MGF-16000-3000-240; Motivation Dual Speed Wire Rope Hoist, c/w Variable Speed Trolley, P/N SX50410080P56FD; Gantry Options-Festooning-Full floating Festooning System c/w Pendant (option) and Full Beam Trolley Travel (option). The Gantry Crane was chosen for it is the only steerable gantry crane on the market. Currently, the outfitting and fabrication of the weapon module is occurring. The North American Industry Code is 333923, and the small Business Size is 500 employees. The Government reserves the right to award on an all or none basis or to make partial awards to fulfill the needs of the Government. This requirement shall be awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. FOB Destination shall apply. This announcement is the only quotation being issued. Quotation should reference N00178-09-Q-1085. All interested parties shall contact the Procurement Specialist at (540) 653-7078 or doritha.newman@navy.mil. indicating their interest. The quotation is due 29 January 2009 no later than 2:00 p.m. EDST. Quotes may be emailed to the Procurement Specialist or faxed to (540) 653-7088. The anticipated award date is 30 January 2009. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Offerors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that the Defense Payment Office may not make payments unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor's EFT information contained in the CCR database. The contractor receiving the award will be required to submit invoices through the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) website.
