- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Construction & Facilities Management is looking for General Construction firms that are SDVOSB, VOSB, and/or WOSB. Additionally, the VA is looking for General Construction firms that are SBA certified in the following programs: 8(a), 8(a) ANC, HUBZone and SDB. The firm must be a General Construction firm approved under NAICS Code 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 Million, a bonding capacity of approximately $50.0 Million, and must have general construction and site development experience with contracts as the prime contractor in the $20.0 to $50.0 Million range. Contractor shall provide all necessary supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment to construct a 4-story plus penthouse, 165,000 GSF clinical addition, with limited renovation, connected to the existing hospital on all 4 occupied levels. Construction shall include strengthened structural and architectural elements for blast and hurricane protection. Work zone is adjacent to an active inpatient/outpatient surgical hospital facility. New construction will provide space for outpatient clinics, specialty clinics, day surgery and a 20-bed Step Down unit. Work shall include general construction, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, sitework, asbestos and lead abatement, and rough-in for hospital equipment. Sitework includes roadway improvements, parking, walks and site lighting. The project Architect is Blitch Knevel / Leo A Daly Joint Venture, 8600 Indian Hills Drive, Omaha, Nebraska 68114-4039. The project site is located on the Grounds of the VA Medical Center, Biloxi, Mississippi. At this time, no solicitation exists, therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION.
