Description

USTRANSCOM/TCAQ-S anticipates issuing an RFP on or about 27 Feb 09 for Air Terminal and Ground Handling Services (ATGHS) at two locations in Korea (Gunsan AB and Gimhae ROKAF). The contractor shall provide ATGHS on behalf of the Air Mobility Command in support of the Department of Defense (DOD) Airlift System to include but not limited to all United States Government owned or operated aircraft, US sponsored foreign government or civil aircraft, Coalition Forces aircraft, commercial contract aircraft, and tendered aircraft. At Gunsan AB, the contractor shall facilitate on-time aircraft departures and maintain the capability to provide sustained ATGHS for a working Maximun on Ground (MOG) of one wide-body aircraft or two narrow body aircraft, and load and unload cargo on and off surface conveyances. At Gimhae ROKAF, the contractor shall facilitate on-time aircraft departures and maintain the capability to provide ATGHS, for a working Maximum on Ground (MOG) of one (1) C-12, UC-35, C-2, C-40, C-37, and/or rotary wing type aircraft or the equivalent thereof, and load and unload cargo on and off surface conveyances. The contractor shall also provide ATGHS for other aircraft when there are 19 or fewer passengers, and only loose cargo is loaded/offloaded. The contractor will be required to have a Facility Clearance. The period of performance is 1 Oct 09 through 30 Sep 10 with four one-year option periods. A pre-proposal conference is tentatively scheduled for the week of 27 Apr 09 – 1 May 09. More information will be provided as it becomes available. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
