Description
The Omaha District, US Army Corps of Engineers is conducting market research to locate potential sources for the following requirement which is located at the Oahe Dam at Pierre, South Dakota. The government shall not pay for information received from this market research. The information received in response to this notice will be used to determine the acquisition strategy for this type of work. This is NOT a request for proposal (RFP). No solicitation files are available. The potential work involves cleaning out of the spillway channel will require large earth moving equipment such as track excavators, dozers, articulated loaders, dump trucks etc. Requires taking dirt out from the bottom of the approach channel and putting up on top of the bank in designated area. Shaping the side slope of the channel where they have sloughed will be required also. After the side slopes are shaped they will put some filter fabric on them and place riprap (large angular stones) over the filter fabric to keep the side slopes from sloughing again Responses to this announcement should be sent electronically to: Chris Breeling Chris.A.Breeling@usace.army.mil and should arrive no later than 2:00 p.m. (CST) 27 February 2009. The Government is requesting interested contractors furnish the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and e-mail address. (2) Type of Business (Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Vet, HUBZone, 8a, etc.). (3) State your bonding capacity as of the date of your response. All responses will be reviewed for preliminary planning purposes in determining future acquisition strategy. (4) What is your firm's primary discipline of work? (Horizontal or Vertical Construction, demolition, earthwork (5) Does your firm have construction experience in the areas indicated above? (6) Please provide a list of successfully completed projects in reference to the type of work listed above to include location, title of project, dollar amount of work, period of performance, completion date, and name of customer with phone number.
