Description
U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Honeywell International Inc., 2600 Ridgway Parkway, Minneapolis MN 55413-1719, for the Advanced Flight Computer System (AFCS) Bench Test Set modification from the p/n 145G0008-1 to p/n 145G0008-2, to be utilized for the MH-47E/G helicopter, or any other aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The Government intends to provide all units at one time as GFE to the contractor for modification. The proposed action is for a commercial service for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this service are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 9 Feb 2009.
