Description

The following are questions that have been submitted by interested parties and the answer to those questions. Q1. Does the USDA provide land or designated space for the nursery operations? A1. The contractor must find locations in the Lower Rio Grande Valley (LRGV) to harvest the Arundo. Contractor must have permission from the landowner to dig Arundo. USDA does not provide land or designated nursery space. Q2. Does the contractor have to apply for permits to remove the Arundo? A2. No, not if dug in the LRGV and grown in the LRGV. Arundo cannot be transported across state lines. Q3. What is the start date of the contract? A3. First delivery shall be within 30 days of contract award. Q4. What is the Wage determination for this solicitation? A4. Incorporate the following clause into this solicitation; FAR 52.222.41 Service Contract Act of 1965 (NOV 2007). Service Contract Act Wage Determination No. 2005-2519; Revision No. 6; Dated 05/29/2008 applies to this solicitation and can be found as an attachment.
