- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. COMPANY MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CCR (CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION) THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE UNDER NAICS CODE 424930, SIZE STDR 100 EMPLOYEES. Statement of Work Annual Bedding Plants for Arlington National Cemetery 1.0 Description. Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) requires 25,150 flowering annual bedding plants comprised of 17 different varieties by 11 13, May 2009. 2.0 Scope. Custom grown bedding plants of specified variety shall be grown and available for delivery to ANC on two different dates; Monday, May 11th and Wednesday, May 13th, 2009. 3.0 Specific Tasks. 3.1 Plants shall be plug, seed or cutting grown and of specific variety and size, with no substitutions, as they will be critical to ANCs landscape design for the presidential visit on Memorial Day. The following plants shall be grown for ANC: From Bubblegum Petunia through Lantana New Sunrise, each plant shall be in a four inch container. Flat = 32 plants (there are 8 cellpacks in a flat/cellpacks hold four plants) Name Quantity Flat of 32 Vinca Mix Cora Series 90 Flat of 32 Vinca Polka Dot Heatwave Series 160 Flat of 32 Elfin Impatiens Red 15 Flat of 32 Elfin Impatiens White 9 Each Canna shall be in a six inch container Canna Futurity Red 6 3.2 Where 4 size containers are required, no smaller size shall be accepted for example a 3.5 size container will not be allowed where a 4 container is required. 3.3 Where flats are required, the flats should contain 32 plants with eight cell packs per flat. 3.4 Annual plants shall be healthy; without leaf or flower blemishes, and fill the container fully without being root-bound. 3.5 All plant material shall be moist and show no signs of desiccation upon delivery. 3.6 ANC Representative reserves the right to reject unsatisfactory plant material. 3.7 Vendor will be responsible for replacing any and all unsatisfactory plant material within 24 hours. 4.0 Place of Performance. All bedding plants shall be delivered to Arlington National Cemetery, Building 123. Driver shall follow ANC Representative to drop-off site within the cemetery 5.0 Required Delivery Date Vendor shall ensure the varieties are grown in a timely fashion so that the plants are delivered in prime condition on two different dates; Monday, 11 May 20009 and Wednesday, 13 May 2009. If unexpected weather occurs, later weekday dates shall be arranged between the grower and Cemetery Horticulturist. Vendor shall deliver plant material no later than 9:30 a.m. on required delivery dates.
