Description
1. Request U.S. or foreign flag self combination vessel to move 58 TEU’s of munitions pursuant to cargo list available upon request. In accordance with the Cargo Preference Act of 1904 and Section IIIA.3 of the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 69 FEDERAL REGISTER 62898, Nov 7, 2007, or most current reference), preference will be given to U.S. flag vessels and VISA participants. 2. Cargo Description: (Cargo List Available Upon Request) Ammunitions will include the following: HAZMAT consisting of Compatibility groups 1.1F, 1.3.C, 1.4S, 1.2.E, 1.4G, and 1.1E 2a. Load: Free In 2b. Discharge: Free Out 3. Load Port: Kuwait Naval Base Available to Load Date (ALD) 08 Feb 09 Cargo: Standard 20 ft containers 3a. Port Restrictions: Kuwait LOA 200 meters and Draft 8 meters (WOG) 4. Laytime: Two (2) Days SSHINC 5. Discharge Port (SPOD) Poti, Georgia Earliest Arrival Date (EAD) 06 Mar 09 Latest Arrival Date (LAD) 12 Mar 09 6. Laydays: To be proposed by offerors pursuant to ALD, EAD, and LAD identified above.
