- Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) intends to purchase a Service Agreement from FEI Company, 5350 N.E. Dawson Creek Drive, Hillsboro, Oregon 97124-5793. The following piece of equipment will be covered by a Standard Coverage Service Maintenance Agreement for one year: TECNAI20 Transmission Microscope The microscope contains proprietary engineering, parts & software. The proprietary computer interface which allows the performance of critical alignments & recall of user-specific conditions needs periodic maintenance and upgrades which can only be accomplished by FEI personnel. Only authorized FEI personnel can perform these tasks without violating any existing warrantees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations however, all responses received, within 15 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing to the Contracting Office Address listed or via email to: robinsti@mail.nih.gov prior to the closing date of this notice or before February 10, 2009 @ 3:00 pm EST. It is anticipated that RFQ - NICHD2009031 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due five (5) days after the release of the RFQ. All requests for quotations must have a valid email address. Email quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and an authorized company representative signature.
