- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1 each Spectro DC Arc Portable Optical Spectrometer. This item is needed to perform chemical analysis of steel and aluminum armor plate. The unit is portable and therefore can be brought to a test area. The item must be brand name, or equal, because the materials lab already has a Specrto Spectrometer that is not portable. The portable unit must use the same software which will allow software interoperability.
