Description
AMENDMENT: THE DUE DATE FOR RECEIPT OF QUOTES IS EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 4, 2009 AT 2:00 P.M. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, food and beverage, audio visual equipment, business center and related services of a qualified hotel for the 2010 Managers’ Conference to be held in downtown Washington, DC or in downtown Baltimore, MD. The conference will be a two-day event, Tuesday through Thursday, to be held during one of the following timeframes in 2010: February 28 – March 5; March 7-12; March 14-19; March 21-26; April 11-16; April 18-23; April 25-30; May 2-7; or May 9-14. The estimated maximum number of sleeping rooms per night is 400 for Washington, DC or 700 for Baltimore. The meeting space requirements include, but are not limited to, a general session for 350, breakout sessions for about 80, 60, 50 and 35 each, an office, registration/ refreshment break area, and a room for food and beverage events. The proposed food functions include continental breakfasts, luncheon, and reception. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First Class or higher per the Hotel & Travel Index; Three Crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner; or Three Diamonds or higher per AAA. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation in early February 2009 at this site. The solicitation will contain the details of the rooms and services required by the hotel, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This is NOT a small business set-aside, but a full and open competition, using simplified acquisition procedures per FAR Subpart 13.5. All responsible hotels may submit a quote with their best available rates that will be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates awarding the contract on or about March 31, 2009.
