Description
This is a sources sought announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time. TACOM-Rock Island is seeking to identify potential sources who have the capability and experience to provide the following item: M52 Joint Service Chemical Enviroment Survivability Mask (JSCESM); NSN: 4240-01-517-8455; P/N: 5-1-3530. The JSCESM is a lightweight/disposable mask that provides 2-8 hours of respiratory and face protection against vapor and aerosol chemical biological agents in low levels of contamination. It is a one size fits all mask. The technical requirements for this item are incorporated in a performance specification which can be found by clicking the link under the NSN/TDPL column for the JCESM mask at https://aais.ria.army.mil/AAIS/Solinfo/MARKET_SURVEYS/market.htm and is export controlled. In order to gain access to export controlled technical data you must have a current DD 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement certificationi on file with the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS). To obtain certification, go to http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/ click on documents, and follow instructions provided. Processing time is estimated at three days after receipt. Upon receipt of certification, you may access the performance specification. Upon completion of the purposes for which the performance specification has been provided, the contractor is required to destroy all documents, including all reproductions, duplications, or copies thereof as may have been further distributed by the Contractor. Destruction of this technical data shall be accomplished by: shredding, pulping, burning, or melting any physical copies of the performance specification and/or deletion or removal of downloaded technical data files from computer drives and electronic devices, and any copies of those files. Interested parties are encouraged to submit a capability statement describing your companys previous experience with the manufacture of similar protective masks. Also, please submit any toxicity clearance data available for the proposed materials in accordance with paragraph 4.3.8.1.2.1 of the performance specification which can be found on page 16.
