Description
The Department of Navy, Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), is seeking capability statements from interested vendors that can perform Fleet services, diagnostics, assessments, repairs, safety certifications, and periodic maintenance on the MSFSC Fleet of Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Work is to be performed by Hyster-certified technicians at Hyster qualified facilities or onboard MSFSC ships. Only Hyster OEM parts and equipment are authorized. Supported activities include MSFSC shore facilities and ships in various ports including, but not limited to: Boston, MA; Earle, NJ; Baltimore, MD; Norfolk, VA; Charleston, SC; Jacksonville, FL; Mobile, AL; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; and Honolulu, HI. The MSFSC MHE Fleet consists of approximately four hundred (400) assets distributed among 30(+) Combat Logistics Force (CLF) ships. MHE supported under this SOW will consist primarily of Hyster electric and diesel fork trucks, but it will also include various electric pallet jacks (EPJ), electric missile side loaders (SL), front loaders (FL), scissor lifts, electric reach & tier standup units, non-powered ammo trailers, man lifts, and manual pallet jacks. The resultant contractor shall provide Fleet Services for MSFSC MHE through the NACCO “FleetSmart” Services Program. The contractor shall perform diagnostics, assessments, repairs, safety certifications, and periodic maintenance on MHE that cannot be completed by MSFSC shipboard and shore personnel. At the option of the Government, MHE services that can reasonably be conducted by Hyster-certified technicians onboard MSFSC vessels will be accomplished on the vessel. All work that cannot be accomplished onboard the vessel shall be conducted at a Hyster owned or operated facility. All repairs, maintenance, assessments, certifications, etc, shall meet the requirements set forth in NAVSEA SW023-AH-WHM-010 (commonly referred to as “SW0-23”) and NAVSUP Publication 538 (NAVSUP P-538).
