- Description
- The Alaska National Guard is seeking interested small businesses regarding this solicitation. Interested small businesses shall provide business information and small business qualifications to Suzanne.coomes@us.army.mil or Virginia.m.trezise@us.army.mil no later than 12 February 2009. The applicable North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this solicitation is 236210. The small business size standard is $35,000,000. The estimated project magnitude is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. Funds are presently not available for this project. Responses to this sources sought notice shall determine if this solicitation is set aside for small business. If the contracting officer determines there is insufficient small business interest for competition, the solicitation shall be let as full and open competitive unrestricted. If unrestricted and a large business is awarded the project, the firm shall comply with FAR 52.219-9 as regards a subcontracting plan. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required to perform construction in accordance with specifications and drawings. Base Bid: This work consists of new construction of a 44,400 [SF] hangar. Concrete slab on grade foundation, steel framed facility with masonry or metal siding and standing metal seam roof, all architecturally compatible with existing facilities. Provide interior finishes to include gypsum board walls, tile or carpet floorings, drop ceilings, and locker room areas. Provide internal utilities to include lighting, heating, ventilation, fire detection and suppression, plumbing, and communication systems. Provide site improvements, utility service and connections, and pavements as well as AT/FP security measures and all other work necessary. The subsequent award will be a Firm-Fixed-Price contract with a contract completion time of 18 months from receipt of notice to proceed. All work to be done IAW applicable specifications and drawings. Specs and drawings shall be available with Invitation for Bid (IFB). The Invitation for Bid will be issued on or about 2 Mar 2009. All responsive offers from responsible offerors will be considered. Interested bidders must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR). CCR registration information can be accessed on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. Interested bidders are required to submit their representations and certifications on-line at http://orca.bpn.gov. Date and information for Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit will be posted with the IFB on or about 02 Mar 2009.
