Description
Notice of intent to award a sole source contract modification to contract N62742-06-1870, a Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed modification will increase the not to exceed amount by $25 million to $65 million. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to award the sole source contract modification based the contractor's extensive technical knowledge of on going projects for which they are able to provide continuity of services and timely completion of project requirement and avoid duplication of effort and unacceptable delays. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested firms may identify and transmit their interest and capability to respond to the requirement to valerie.mito@navy.mil by close of business, 27 January 2009. A determination not to compete this proposed modification based on responses received to this notice is solely within the dis! cretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. In general, the work includes: Architect-Engineering Services to provide environmental planning services in the preparation of environmental impact documents, environmental studies of various types normally used by the U.S. Navy, and technical services related to such documents as may be requested by the Department of Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific for strategic forward basing initiatives and other projects. Related technical services may include, but is not limited to, preliminary site assessment studies, feasibility assessments, and engineering services with associated multi-discipline A-E support as required. Examples include preparation of technical reports including conducting engineering investigations and concept studies, or feasibility assessments to obtain sufficient site data to determ! ine the environmental impacts of proposed action. A preliminary site assessment study may require additional analysis, including topographic, geotechnical hazardous materials, and infrastructural roads, drainage, electrical, water, sewage, etc.) aspects of proposed actions. This is not a request for proposal. See note number 22.
