Description
D-RAPCON is envisioned to provide radar approach control service to include -- but not limited to -- sequencing and separation of aircraft, navigation assistance, and airspace control services to military, civil, and state-owned aircraft operating within the assigned terminal airspace area. This service is required to be accomplished through electronic surveillance of airspace, voice communications between controllers and pilots, voice and data communications between controllers within the facility, and the process, display and exchange of electronic data between and within facilities. The deployable air traffic control system should be interoperable with the civil system to conduct force training and respond tocrises such as domestic disaster relief.
