Description
This announcement is a Sources Sought Notice and not a request for competitive proposals, nor is a solicitation available. This announcement does not commit the Government to award a contract now or in the future. The purpose of this announcement is to identify firms with the necessary qualifications to provide the services stated in the DRAFT Statement of Work. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Influenza Coordination Unit (ICU) seeks the services necessary to provide an assessment of vulnerable commodities during an Influenza Pandemic and to develop strategies and plans for mitigating these vulnerabilities. A DRAFT Statement of Work is attached. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541690, Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services, and the Small Business Standard Size is $6.5 Million. Interested firms that believe they possess the capabilities necessary to undertake this requirement should submit a capability statement addressing the requirement identified in the DRAFT Statement of Work. Firms must demonstrate their ability and experience in providing these services. The capability statement shall include the company name, address, point of contact, phone/fax/email, and the business size status of the firm and any other applicable socio-economic business status (e.g., Small Disadvantage Business, HUBZone, etc.). Please limit responses to 5 pages or less. Any proprietary information should be identified as such. Respondents may submit their capability statement via email to Phillip Alexander at pfa5@cdc.gov, SUBJECT: Capability Statement, Pandemic Influenza Vulnerabilities. Capability statements are due by Monday, January 26, 2009. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
