- Solicitation Number: FM448883260004 Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis: The 43rd AMDS at Pope AFB, North Carolina, is in need of a portable motion analysis system (gait analysis). The information sought herein is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for quote (RFQ), request for proposal (RFP), and invitation for bid (IFB) or as an obligation or commitment on the part of the Government to acquire any product or service. There shall be no basis for claims against the government as a result of information submitted in response to the sources sought announcement. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement or otherwise pay for any information submitted by respondents to this request. This notice is for market research purposes only and is not indicative of a full requirement. Should a full requirement arise, the full requirement will be detailed in the solicitation, if issued. The specifications of the motion analysis system needed are as follows: Portable Motion Analysis System Manufacturer: Sports Motion or equal Quantity: 1 each -N-30P notebook motion analysis system (qty: 1 each) -Dual camera upgrade kit with HC9 (qty: 1 each) -Sony HC9 6 hour batteries (qty: 2 each) -Sony HC9 battery charger (qty: 2 each) -SonyHC9 wide angle lens (qty: 2 each) -Dolly for bogen tripod (qty: 1 each) -Custom low reach tripod extension arm/head -30' 4-6 pin firewall cable (qty: 1 each) -Western 250 gig digital hard drive (qty: 1 each) -Upgrade to 9 cell notebook battery (qty: 1 each) -Reflective marker balls (qty: 1 each) Sources Sought Instructions: A written response with detailed information is requested of those suppliers who can provide a portable motion analysis system meeting the required specifications. Detailed information shall include the vendor's capability of providing the required goods and current commercial availability. Responses to this notice are due on or before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2009. Priority for consideration will be given to small businesses. Please provide: name of the business, address, POC, phone/fax number, and email address. Due to the intermittent nature of electronic communication, it is the vendor's responsibility to ensure receipt. All questions must be provided in writing. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited.
