- The Bay Pines VA Healthcare Systems (VAHCS) - VISN 8 intent to Sole Source. VISN 8 intends to negotiate and procure on a sole source basis. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Mary Ann Dremstedt MS RN for Mock JCAHO Survey Services for all of its VISN 8 facilities. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial services procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12, and the justification for other than full and open competition is in accordance with FAR Par 6.302-1, only one responsible source will satisfy the agency requirement to the best of the Government's knowledge. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. Any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. All formation submitted in response to this announcement must be received by January 19, 2009 at 10 a.m. EST. This information can be emailed to Janice Fornaro at Janice.Fornaro@va.gov. Responses will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No phone calls will be accepted. If no responses are received, the Bay Pines (VAHCS) VISN 8 will proceed to sole source this requirement to Mary Ann Dremstedt.
