- Description
- The Directorate of Logistics, Transportation Branch has a requirement to support Schedule II Area I of the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Contract for Packing and Crating at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. To support Schedule II Area I the contractor is required to accept inbound Household Goods (HHG) and Unaccompanied Baggage (UB) from Army Soldiers and their Family Members arriving to Fort Bragg and deliver the HHG and UAB to Bladen, Cumberland, Hooke, Harnett, Lee, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson and Scotland counties in North Carolina. The requirement will support the Congressional mandate to incorporate Full Replacement Value (FRV) into all Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Packing and Crating Contracts, effective 1 March 2008. Additionally the contractor is responsible for decontainerization and unpacking of loaded containers of HHGs and placing goods in appropriate rooms as directed by owner. The contractor shall also be responsible for the assembly of any disassembled articles as well as removing shipping containers, barrels, boxes/crates and debris from owners residence. Issuance of Invitation for Bid (IFB) will occur on or around 27 January 2009.
