- Project Title: 2009 Elkhorns Back Country Weed Spraying This project is for back country weed spraying in the Elkhorn Mountain Range located on the Townsend Ranger District and Helena Ranger District, Helena National Forest. The treatment area includes numerous areas along tails, in open parks, along old logging roads throughout the north and south central portion of the Elkhorn Mountains. The project includes the spraying of noxious weeds and supplying herbicides. This will include spraying of herbicides from backpacks and/or stock mounted spray units. There will not be a pre-bid tour of the site. Government estimated price range is between $25,000 to $100,000. This project is set-aside for small business. Estimated start work date is June 15, 2009. The solicitation will be available on approximately February 19, 2009 and can be downloaded from this site at that time.
