(Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, Jackson, MS intends to purchase a modular radiation therapy vault to house a Varian Trilogy linear accelerator with adjacent clinical space to allow operation as a clinic. This will include patient waiting, exam rooms, and other needed space. The vault must have adequate shielding to allow usage of a high energy linear accelerator (18x) Varian Trilogy indicated 40x40 vault size minimum with sliding door, without exposure to staff, visitors, patients and adjacent building usage. The inclusion of foundation, wiring, plumbing and complete furnishings are all to be included. This unit shall have a removable rear wall to allow for replacement of equipment when desired. The exterior shall match current medical center exterior as present. This requirement is solicited on a full and open basis. The associated North America Industry Classification System code is 327390. The resulting contract shall be a negotiated Firm fixed price contract. The award will be made to the responsible offeror who offers the overall best value to the government considering technical, past performance, and price. Technical is more important than past performance. Past performance is more important than price. Technical and Past performance, when combined, are significantly more important than price. The Request for Proposal is anticipated to be issued on or about 01/28/2009.
