Description
The Naval Air Systems Command Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAVAIRWARCENWPNSDIV) intends to procure and award, on an other than full and open competition basis, a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee, Indefinite DeliveryIndefinite Quantity, Level of Effort, Task Order contract with Raytheon Missile Systems for Advanced Technology Insertion and Integration Support. The total level of effort is estimated to be 85,283 hours over a three-year ordering period of performance. This acquisition will include design and development engineering studies and services for applying new technology to systems developed and produced by Raytheon Missile Systems such as the AIM-9 Sidewinder, AIM-120 AMRAAM, AGM-65 Maverick, AGM-154 JSOW, R/UGM-109 Tomahawk, Line of Sight/Non-Line of Sight technologies for seekers, tri-mode seekers, and similar applications, as well as the XM982 Excalibur, BGM-71 TOW, RIM-66 Standard Missile, and RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile. Tasking shall include technology demonstration efforts; product improvement initiatives; technology insertion and transition activities; integration of various warfare systems; mission analysis; mission architecture; concept of operations; milita! ry utility analysis; and more traditional engineering analyses and studies. Raytheon Missile Systems is the only firm who can provide the required services mentioned above as they are the original and only source that has developed and manufactured the systems to be studied under this acquisition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firms believing they can fulfill the requirement of providing the technology insertion and integration support services mentioned above, may submit a written response, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference solicitation number N68936-09-R-0026 and clearly show the firms capability, background, experience and assets necessary to perform the required work tasks mentioned above without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and delivery of the products. Written responses shall be submitted by email to jane.price@navy.mil or mailed to Commander, Code 2100! 00D (Jane Price), NAVAIRWARCENWPNSDIV, 429 E. Bowen Rd. Mail Stop 4015, China Lake, CA 93555-6108 within 15 days from the Notice date. A copy of the solicitation can be requested by contacting Jane Price at jane.price@navy.mil.
