- Questions and Responses for January 5, 2009 for Sources Sought Notice Solicitation Number: SAQMMA-09-I-0002 1. Submission is Bid amount per year for Service and Equipment? This is a Sought Sources Solicitation to find out information on how many vendors can provide services for the Embassy of the United States Cellular Phone Program in Iraq. We are not requesting a bid for the service and equipment. 2. Submission requirements? The above subject solicitation requires you to submit to us your qualifications and past performance in providing cellular phone services to cover all of Iraq to include but not limited to the following coverage areas in the Nenewa Region, Mosul, Kirkuk, Erbil, Sulaymaniya, Taji, Baghdad, Karbala, Najaf, Basra, and Um Qasr. Please read attached Statement of Work. 3. Does the State Department want a Domestic Carrier (American) with an International Network or an Iraqi Carrier? We are looking for both an American Firm with International Network and an Iraq Carrier. 4. What is the due date of this tender? The response date for this solicitation is January 15th, 2009 at 4:00pm Eastern Standard Time. 5. What is the meaning of Motorola W230 (or equivalent) – just this cell phone? On page 5 of the Statement of Work under ITEM references a list of cellular phones such as Motorola W230 (or equivalent) is the Brand name or equivalent meaning equal to this type of cellular phone. Additional Questions and Responses - Janaury 12, 2009 6.Are you requiring local Iraq telephone numbers or US telephone numbers? The US telephone numbers are not mandated. 7.Can contractor send offer just for cell phone equipments without services meaning part of this project? This request is for both cell phone equipments and services.
