- Under the authority of FAR 13.5, the U.S. Army, RDECOM, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a purchase order to Strong Enterprises, Inc. of Orlando, FL 32837. The order involves purchasing seven (7) Tandem Tethered Bundle Systems, LARS 5 in support of a combat evaluation including static bench testing, mannequin drop testing, and live jump testing. This is being sole-sourced to Strong Enterprises because the LARS 5 is unique in its design and is the only tandem tethered bundle system on the market in this particular configuration. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that determines it can meet the requirements may give written notice to the Contract Specialist within five (5) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This information can be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Nathan.C.Jordan@us.army.mil. Responses will be evaluated, however, a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. This synopsis expires 6 February at 1000 EST.
