Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of services for licensing and maintenance for GoldenGate Transactional Data Management software. The software provides for high volumes of data to be moved between the FAA's Maintenance Monitoring System (MMS) platforms and the Operational Data Storage System (ODS), allowing queries of NAS performance data while preventing direct access to the MMS. The period of performance for the contract will be March 1, 2009 through February 28, 2010. GoldenGate Software, Incorporated is the manufacturer and owner of the software. The FAA is conducting this survey to determine if there are any other sources available to provide this support. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof of rights to use the data from GoldenGate Software or documentation identifying your company as an authorized provider. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. The FAA requires interested vendors to describe the expected programmatic approach (in-house, teaming, subcontracting, etc.). Respondents must provide their strategy for accomplishing this work, including the percentage of work that will be done by eligible small, service-disabled veteran-owned and 8(a) certified businesses. The NAICS code for this requirement is 423430, Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers, with a small business size standard of 100 employees. This market survey shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these items. The FAA will not be liable for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to the Market Survey, nor reimburse or otherwise pay any costs incurred by any party responding to this announcement. The interested vendor's response must be submitted no later than 2:00 P.M. local time on February 17, 2009. All responses to this Market Survey must be in writing, on company letterhead, and must demonstrate that the company can meet the minimum support requirements provided above. Limit responses to five pages and include a completed Business Declaration Form (Attached). The Business Declaration Form does not count in the page count. Submit any questions by email. Submit responses by overnight delivery or email to: Federal Aviation AdministrationAttn: Bill Willenbring, AJA-47800 Independence Ave S.W., Room 406Washington, DC 20591bill.willenbring@faa.gov
